Silence
I know - I've neglected my website for the last month or so. The firewall at work's a bit annoying to deal with, and I'm trying to get stuff done in a hurry anyways, so I can make it back home on time, and then at home, there's so much to do, I usually don't find the time to write in this thing (much less keep up with email!).Anyways, I was walking to work today, and a big bus went by me and blew exhaust in my face, and I got a feeling of nostalgia for Hong Kong. It's funny - the same thing happens when I'm walking on a particularly dirty street, and you get that trashy street smell, and I get nostalgic for Hong Kong. Anyways, last night I finished scanning in all the pictures that I took with my SLR this past long weekend with Amy down in Shenandoah. Got some really cool butterfly pics. At some point, I'll post them up, along with a lot of other pictures - actually, I think Amy has hers uploaded already. Anyways, ho hum - I was aim'ing garrett the other day, and I commented how I was always so busy and a little tired, and he aim'ed back, "how many hours do you work"... which really isn't all that much - I'm pretty much keeping standard hours (versus the normal 70-90 hours at sapient). However, whereas in my old life, we used to use # of hours worked as a measurement of what level of intensity you were working at, that doesn't seem to work here, because much longer days at sapient wouldn't leave me as exhausted as my shorter days here. Hmmm, I think there may be something wrong with my computer screen. Really, staring at it for more than 10 minutes at a time makes my head hurt, and makes me get dizzy. Also, I think there's something about wearing a suit to work that makes you that much more tired. Anyways, Ann's back in town for a half-week, so Amy and I are invited to Howie's b-day party. Speaking of which, congrats Amy for getting your Apple rebate in on (kinda) time. You did better than me - I ate my forgone printer rebate. Lalala - arg have to get back to reading/writing for work.
