Amy\'s Back, Weather\'s nice, Parents Coming this Weekend
Amy came back Monday - my life just got happier. I try not to be too sappy and make people throw up on this website, but I'm really amazed, happy, and optimistic that Amy and I are still together after all this time, and all the changes that our lives have gone through. Anyways, it's really nice to have her back. I threw a coming home surprise for her on Monday which went really well. We've been hanging out a lot catching up - yesterday evening, the weather was so nice, we decided to pack an impromptu picnic and drove down to the tidal basin to eat under the cherry blossoms opposite from the Jefferson Memorial. She got some nice pictures - I'll post them up soon...The Trade exam went well... a lot of worrying over nothing. About American Foreign Policy and the war, this Onion article is amazingly poigent in this scathing criticism under the thin veil of humor. I think it asks the right questions in the simplest of ways. The media: I've been increasingly discontent with the US media. These days, my primary sources are the economist, the bbc, The Guardian, and sometimes I read the Op-eds in the Washington Post and the NYT. Anyways, case in point, today I read an article about the Ivory Coast... Now, I hadn't really kept up with the situation there, and really wanted to know more, and lo and behold, they had this link, off the article page: Why the Fighting in the Ivory Coast?, and proceeded to give very informative direct and insightful answers. Compare to Fox News... what crap. (11.43 am

Have a Intl trading system midterm tomorrow - have not studied at all for it....which is why I'm writing here - hahaha... NYC was fun, got to see some old friends/co-workers who I haven't seen in a long time. Got to see my sister play in her (very talented) band, and hang out with her. Now I'm back in my entropy-accelerated apartment. The stupid apartment people literally tore apart my bathroom to fix a leak, so now there's still a hole in the wall in my bathroom as well as a big hole in the floor covered by a slab of wood, and all my bathroom crap is strewn all over the apartment. arg. must....study....
