Confirmed: Practicing for the LSAT is decreasing my score. I now have enough data points to confidently say that practicing for the LSAT has had a direct, linear and negative affect on my LSAT scores. At this rate, if I take 20 more practice tests, I will be able to achieve a perfect 0 score (or rather a perfect 120 - the lowest score possible). I wonder if I can reverse this trend by un-practicing... Maybe some brain-killing activities (drugs, alcohol, anything on FOX) can undo the effects of my practicing... ... Last night went with my sister and mom to showing of Tsui Hark's most recent movie Time and Tide at a Hong Kong film festival held at SMU (Southern Methodist University) here in Dallas. For those not familiar with Tsui Hark, he's the director who made the "Once upon a time in China" series with Jet Li. Very exciting, fast paced movie. The violence didn't really fit my mood at the time, but I still enjoyed it. ... Been doing some web-surfing lately: "Children are drawn to you - It’s because your engines are big and red and interesting, but it’s also something more than that" Hear hear... Step 1: Buy a copy of the Economist. (4.55 pm

ARgg! I'm getting kinda frustrated by this LSAT thing. The analytical section is kicking my ass - I'm not getting any better - in fact, I'm getting worse. Test is coming up in 9 days. Getting a liiiitle bit worried. In other news, I just talked again with travelocity.com. The hiring freeze is definately on, so ho-hum - no jobbie job for me. Oh - one last thing - I misreported the Rangers game. Aparently they suck more than I had first thought. Texas actually lost 13-2. Aparently they gave up 5 more runs after my sister and I left in the 8th inning. So much for spending $250 mil on A-rod... (2.10 am

Just got back from a Rangers game, where they played the part of the Seattle's whipping boy losing 9-3... again. But then again the hot dogs were yummy, which is the real reason I go to baseball games. ... So, the US has changed the name from "Infinite Justice" to "Enduring Freedom". Not only is the new name equally as silly, but it is also very ambiguous. Does 'Enduring' here act as a Adjective or a Verb? (1.36 am

[venting removed ... I don't like people who vent online...] ... ... Sorry for being so cynical tonight - I'm usually a good humored person, but I just got rubbed the wrong way too many times today. ... ... On a positive note, I got in contact with the Public Policy Institute of California today. I got some good reviews from an old Amherst prof who's doing his sabbatical there. In any case, they're interviewing me over the phone tomorrow. Hopefully that goes well.... (4.27 am

I drove by and noticed all the flags around the Dallas area back up at full mast. It was a little odd to see - it got me all worked up again =( This is a sad week/month/year. I just heard that Issac Stern just died. Stern was one of the last great pre-Galamian violinists - In many ways, the last of a generation. I'm listening to an old interview and some clips of his recording on NPR. This month, the world has truly lost a lot. =( (12.10 pm
