Belated nightmare
Last night I had a freaky nightmare about a sniper - it woke me up at 6am. Upon reflection, I found it a bit humorous about the lack of timeliness of this dream.

Otherwise, last night was a pretty good day. Yesterday was a pretty good day in fact. Mondays are my days "off" (i.e. no class), and I was pretty diligent at getting studying done. Although I only completed about 70% of what I had planned to get done, that's pretty good for me. In any case, I did requisite reading to be relatively engaged in class this morning, made the (correct) assumption that I don't have a quiz in Chiense this morning, got enough studying to be comfortable on my midterm this afternoon, and got a good start on reading a book that has to be done on Thursday.

Since I was so busy, Amy cooked some yummy food last night using the leftover marinade for the bulgogi. Then, afterwards, she baked cream puffs to boot. There was a brief crisis point when we thought the batter wasn't going to make it, but I played hero by vigourously mixing the batter until it de-liquified.

Anyways, here's some way cool links that I got off Garrett's newsletter :
[>>>] A super-super-cool page of databases of skyscrapers of cities, including graphics and all.

[>>>]
This is mostly for Amy, but it's the homepage of one of Garrett's friends from Sapient, but it's a cool personal webpage - he's into design, is getting his MFA from Yale, did some Urban Planning stuff, and has a cool portfolio online.

Domestic Weekend
Had a highly domestic weekend. It was nice to stay relatively sedentary after a crazy weekend in NY and a difficult week (midterms, court case). Amy and I spent all of yesterday indoors cleaning up, baking cookies, and enjoying some quiet time. At night, we had Ann, John, and Jeff over for cookies Scrabble, and Austin Powers 2. Actually John came over later, so we halted Amy's Scrabble blitzkrieg and played Candy Land instead. Both Amy and I remembered Candy Land being an intensely enjoyable game, but I guess time really does change things.

Anyways, I'm all dug in for another pretty intense school week for round 2 of mid-terms. After this things should be much better.

Suburban Day
Finally that the sniper was caught and his big bad gun taken away, Amy and I finally ventured out into the suburbs to do some real suburban living. We first went to circuit city, where I replaced my stolen car stereo, amy bought a memory shtick for her brand spankin' new clie, and I bought some nifty computer equiptment (I got a wireless router to replace the one I fried a month and a half ago - now I can surf the web while I'm on the can - just kidding). Then we went to target to fufill our shopping list.

For dinner we cooked some noodles with meatballs and you cai (that's chinese vegetables for you non-chinese speaking folk). Then afterwards we went out to hang out in Adams Morgan with our friend John, and his Georgetown law students, many of whom were extremely drunk and could not stand up. tisk tisk tisk.

Giants
Of all the times to be too busy to watch baseball... My team, the SF giants finally made it to the world series after having choked the last two seasons. I've been way to busy with school and reckless driving charges to pay attention to baseball, but I'm definitely watching game 7 tomorrow and watch the Giants kick boot-tay. Whoo hoo.
