I'm back in Austin now. The trip to DC was really good. I settled on an awesome apartment that was reasonably priced (relatively), really close to school, two grocery stores, the metro, and to two hip streets. It's pretty large, too (575 sq ft).

Hung out mostly with Darren and his Duke friends in DC. I got back to Austin on Tuesday (I came back a day early than previously planned, because I had closed on an apt, and also because I had to see my Amy). We've been doing a lot of chilling in Austin. On Thursday, Amy and I went out to Zilker park along with 100,000 other Austinites, to listen to the Austin Symphony play and to watch fireworks. We cooked and packed a yummy carb-filled picnic and sipped on a nice bottle of Reisling Amy bought. It was a great time.

Tonight, we're celebrating my birthday, because I'm driving home to Dallas tomorrow to be with my family for my actual birthday.
